Architecture that belongs to its place.
At EXFORMA Architects & Consultants, every project begins with its place and its people.
We believe a site’s unique qualities should shape its architecture. The movement of the sun, the direction of the wind, the surrounding landscape, and the views beyond its boundaries all offer possibilities. Our role is to understand those possibilities and bring them together with the needs, aspirations, and everyday lives of our clients.
Based in Bangkok, we create architecture and interiors with a clear sense of purpose: spaces that feel personal, function thoughtfully, and belong naturally to their surroundings.
The site shapes the design
Our design process begins before a building takes form. We study how sunlight reaches the site throughout the day, where breezes may enter, which views deserve to be framed, and where privacy or shade is needed.
These observations shape the architecture at every scale—from the building’s overall form and orientation to its spatial layout, choice of materials, and shading strategies. Sun exposure may inspire a distinctive roofline, deep overhangs, or screens designed specifically for the site. Prevailing winds can guide the arrangement of building volumes, courtyards, and open spaces, while views and surrounding conditions influence how the building opens, shelters, and connects to its landscape. Each response brings together practical performance and architectural character, creating solutions unique to the place.
Through careful attention to sun and wind, we seek opportunities for natural daylight, ventilation, and comfort appropriate to each project’s climate and use. Environmental thinking is part of the architecture from the beginning.
Designed around your life
A distinctive building should also be a place that works beautifully for the people who use it.
We take time to understand how our clients live, work, gather, and move through space. Their routines, priorities, and ambitions help shape everything from spatial organisation to the smallest interior details.
Each project develops its own architectural identity through this meeting of people and place. Form, function, sustainability, and character are considered together, creating a design with reasons behind its decisions and a lasting connection to its users.
From design intention to built detail
Our work connects architectural ideas with the practical demands of construction. Through architectural design, interior design, consultant coordination, and construction involvement, we carry the original intention into the details that make a space real.
Materials, proportions, junctions, and finishes matter because they determine how architecture is experienced every day. We approach them with the same care as the overall concept, balancing design ambition with budget, buildability, and long-term use.
Our vision
We aim to enrich the built environment through architecture that reveals the possibilities of each site.
Our ambition is to create a truly personal response to its location and its people—a building so closely connected to its setting that it could not belong anywhere else.
